News Update 06-08-2013
The Claud Board would like to announce that the group has
been successfully partnered with the Whitwell and Reepham Railway, located in
Norfolk. Whitwell will act as a parent company. The ability to receive donations
will be operational by the end of this month. All donations made to the Claud
will be restricted for this project only. We are still linked with the Australian
new build group VSLC.
The main benefits for the new link are; a future base to store, build and use the locomotive, expert help, a local link and business expertise.

Update Of News - May
Much has happened in the background since the last update. We have had the first newsletter sent out to our current members. The next newsletter is being finalised and will be sent out in June.
A members section has also been added to the website where members are able to access past newsletters in PDF form.
On a sad note our Chairman, Chris Allenby has left the position due to personal circumstances. Dan Knights has stepped in as a temporary Chairman till further notice of an appointment. The team thanks Chris' support and input over the past few years in starting up the group.
Three new members have been added to the Board. Rob Ewles as business adviser, Dan Peart as adviser and Peter Kelley as treasurer.
Thank you again for the support to the group.
Regards

Eastern Royalty meets Western Royalty
We would like to thank everyone who came to see us alongside the Holden F5 Group at Loughborough Station during Great Central Railway's Winter Steam Gala, which starred GWR No.6023 "King Edward II".
We received a great deal of interest, and forged new links with other groups. We also raised a reasonable amount of money for the project through donations and purchases of items for sale on the stand.
